Winning Souls to Christ in The World of Warcraft

http://www.landoverbaptist.org/news0105/wow.html

lol, yet to read but it sounds amuzing enough ;-)
once your lvl60 i'm guessing ;-))
----
edit:
reading this...feel the love

"I think the reason so many people are open to hearing about Jesus in the World of Warcraft is because the majority of people who play the game are lonely kids who don't have any friends. I doubt any of them play sports so you can pretty much guess that there are lots of gay boys and fat little pale-faced Wiccan girls on the servers who hate themselves and escape into virtual characters so they don't have to deal with their pathetic lives."

----
2ndupdate: of course...it's a fake :-)
----

lol, anyway, sorry for lack of posts, been ill most of this week, and still feeling the strain today :-(

might give a small update little later on, but we shall see,
just to let you know 'i'm alive'

Hollow Laptop EP

is almost complete! :-)

For a few months on and off the 6 stringed section of hollow have been recording acoustic versions of songs, much like the ones performed at crosses corner most Monday nights, using Robs laptop.

9 songs will be 10 when Suddenly something is completed.

Me and Rob did the mix down of most of the tracks last night, and listing to the burnt cd today it sounds pretty good :-)
Some cool extra harmonies and guitar parts

we recorded:

Foothold
Wait
Not Job Here
The Ghost
Last Time
Care
Worn Down
The Outcast
Your Song

Suddenly something is waiting a guest vocal from my brother but we hope to have it done and dusted pretty soon.

We will be giving these out to friends, and at our acoustic gigs,
so if you would like a free copy let me know by emailing me your address.

here is my track by track break down:

Foothold
sounds good! Rob recently commented he prefers this song acoustic, I can see what he means. I like the end extra harmony I put on this, almost sounds like a cello.

Wait
quiet a popular song. the recordings captured the song quiet well

Not Job Here
sounds strong in the recording. Not job here can be a bit hit and miss when we practice it, but this version sounds good imo.

The Ghost
nice to have Robs guitar parts recorded finally! I hear then whenever I play this song now even if he isn't playing!

Last Time
sounds great. strong harmony all through the song. again this song can be a bit hit and miss with the band, but this recording sounds right!
very radiohead esq in some ways.

Care
again nice to record with robs guitar parts, we had to do this song twice as the first time I recorded it I got too into it and sped up, so we had to record the song us both doing our guitars at the same time.
where as with the rest of the songs we recorded my vocals and my guitar at the same time, then rob added his parts.

Worn Down
really like this. we may need to re record the end vocals as I made it peak and distort coz I was shouting too loud ;-)
other than that its great, some nice weird guitar parts and spooky harmonies

The Outcast
just me and my guitar, this sounds great with the full band so Rob didn't want to add to the acoustic version, but I thought as we had recorded it we may as well put it on :-)

Your Song
also just me and my guitar. we have struggled to play this as a band, and even to have extra guitar parts etc. I guess this song was meant to be played by just me.
sounds good though having it more intimate etc.

btw band practices generally have been going well, and the band have co written a lot of new stuff since its last gig at the end of the October, almost a albums worth of new songs.

Thursday night is movie night

Little is known about the enigma that is Thursday night movie night.
Its past is dark and shrouded.
It's time for me to shed some light.

Movie night started many years ago, some say before time itself.
'Dusk'* and 'SMUB'* initiated early movie night sessions, which at the time were called 'horror night' legend tells.
*-code names are used to protect the innocent, and the not so innocent.

The theme of the movie night then changed to lighter hearted subject matter as females 'Jenga' and 'SKB' joined the fray.

'Jenga' and 'SKB' lost interest in keeping with the frequency of the nights, but can sometimes be seen participating.

'Snoopyj' joined the gang and movie night began to reach back to its horror origins, with many the Asian horror being digested.

A few years past and now 'Blade' also prowls in the movie night pack.

Thursday night is movie night; you would do well to take heed to these words.

Wheat free M and S rant

Ok, now I'm sure this isn't JUST marks and spensers, but trying to get lunch yesterday was a bit of a nightmare.
Sandwiches sandwiches sandwiches! Ok so all sandwiches have wheat in them ... so I look to the salards.
ALL but the greek salard had pasta in it!
Other than that the only thing I found was suchi, and at 3 pounds for a few pieces I'm not going to eat that every day!
So ... M and S and all you other major super market type shops, get some wheat free skills!

Office work

It's been a while but I am getting back into the swing of office work..and I like it.
As much as I wouldn't like to be a 'sell out' office work is 'comfortable' and 'nice'.
Don't get me wrong I know the politics and the gossip, bit if you find the right place, it can be good.
And I think I have :-)
I like having a desk, equipment, a phone and a pc.
I am an office geek.
Oh ... and don't forget the coffee :-D

Ihooky

Ihooky.com was nice enough to drop me a mail to say thanks yesterday after I linked to him ...
So I'm gonna do it again ;-)

Travel nightmare

well...i had fun this morning!

my current travel plan involves:
30 min walk
10 min train
1 hour shuttle bus

it is my fault i did leave a little late...only a few moments...

but i missed my train, after running for it..
i then caught a taxi in the hope of catching the shuttle bus..

i pulled up just to see the shuttle bus go

so i had to catch the train to work...

nightmare, didnt make me late, but a badly timed waste of money!
