All sorts

right, a bit of a longer update

wow
Ordered World of warcraft Collectors Edition the other day
cannot wait for the game to come out :-)
just love the way it looks, and its fun to play...
hopefully be in the euro beta sometime in December. so another chance to run around in the beautiful night elf town :-)

long way round
watched about half of the tv series Long way round, with ewan mcgreggor and his mate Charlie traveling half way around the world on motorbikes.
they travels through Russia and surrounding countries.
it's been really interesting.

excel saga
have been watching wacky anime excel saga.
slightly bizzare humor, still only watched a few episodes really, but is very good...and strange...very strange :-)

lost
still only seen the 1st episode of this show.
its so well done, i wont tell you anything about it, as it will spoil it...
but just watch the first episode and you will be so drawn in.

Christmas
is coming, and surprisingly me and mee have already managed to do most of our Christmas shopping :-)
it is currently taking up shelf space in my room waiting for a time closer to Christmas to be given out :-)

hollow
really pleased with some of the new songs hollow have been making :-)
in particular get up/give up and sick of this.
I'm pleased with my lyrics. if not the actual words so much, what i am trying to convey.
i think sometimes i want to tackle big subjects, and find it hard to know what to say, or say it without sounding tacky.
and i think I've done it.
also the songs have been a bit more colabrative sometimes, which is great. i hope the guys all feel like they have put what they wanted into the songs.
but also the songs have a different sound to them. we dont have other songs like them.
so basically, its all good.

I will put some of my lyrics here later

recording laptop ep
myself and rob started to record a 'laptop ep' of acoustic hollow songs to give out at gigs and help promote ourselves/ the band.
we were doing ok until the software we were using on robs laptop didnt seem to mix down the tracks at all.
we didnt have the time to continue with the project until now.
so hopefully we will start this up again soon.

Fahrenheit.911
saw this yesterday, i cried, a lot.
really kinda hit me.
the stupidity, the unbelievable greed of some people. how easy the public forget what really happened.
what is and isnt passed to us or other countries.
it sickens me.
it will help me write some more songs on this kind of subject, which is what i have been doing.

Atlantis The Lost Empire
saw this cartoon today, very good.
i'm sure rhys told me they didnt use any CGI when making it...
if thats true its amazing.
hmmmm just had a thought maybe that was treasure planet :-)
lol...

Woot!

Looks like i have been offered the job i went to :-)
which is great news!
it's all pending references, so have been chasing them up, but anyway should just be a matter of time :-)
i'm so pleased!

anyway, bits and bobs to do today, and a few things i want to post here and maybe here so maybe a few posts later....

but for now...

some new songs really looking forward to playing with the guys on sat
hmmm should put up lyrics here soon

am playing through warcraft3 to catch up with the story line in time for world of warcraft.
i've managed to play through the orc short story, and human story and up to the start of the undead in one night!
which isn't far from as far as i got in the game before...

could my skills be improving??....

Greatest hits

it really does bug me how many bands i like have released a greatest hits type album this year. it seems like everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.
i can see why they would do it, leading up to christmas and all that, but still, i thought the bands were 'better than that'.

although, in true it is prolly the record companies anyway, but look at this list..
ALL OUT 2004

Greatest Hits ~Red Hot Chili Peppers
Singles ~Travis
This Is Music: The Singles 92-98 ~The Verve
Once More With Feeling: Singles 1996-2004 ~Placebo
Rearview Mirror: The Best of Pearl Jam
Greatest Hits~Creed
Greatest Hits Vol.1 [CD + DVD] [LIMITED EDITION] ~Korn

I mean Korn ffs!! :-|
and this list i've tried to keep limited to bands i like and as far as i know are still 'going'.

Gah, money grabbin' mofo's...

World of Warcraft

Enjoying this very much to try out the Open Beta

So much to tell, its so good, its actually fun to play
ive had to drag myself out of it to post up these screen shots
and to give you an idea how good it looks
i took 113 shots in less than 2 days, and only in 1 area of the game!

thank you blizzard!!

ok, so...

some screen shots

a (not so) amusing thing that happened

yesterday i died a very silly death and almost found a flaw in the game :-/
i died falling off waterfall (who put that water fall there? ;-)
i return as my spirit try to find my body which is half way down waterfall, my spirit falls further and off the Night elf 'huge tree' land
leaving my spirit sailing the open seas.
eventually i become tired and have option to start spirit again,
this time i use spirit healer and am in my body, however all my equipment is 100% damaged by doing this :-/
and it costs me almost all the money i had to repare them.
doh...
trust me ay?!

anyway, back to it ;-)

so yay!!!

Things keep getting in the way

well today i have tried to fix my cd burner and outlook mail with no joy what so ever so far.

so i am getting on and updating the comic and in a moment the band site

its so annoying when things dont just work isnt it!!

anyway, if you think you can help look at this and this and email me

Scarface

Saw Scarface last night with rhys and rob.
it was good, if not a little long.
what we couldnt help but notice was GTA: Vice City was based HUGLY on this film, and some music was in the orginal GTA.

if you have played the games you should watch this film...

BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Film | Tarantino set for Mandarin film

from the farm

On another note,
I happened to watch a program about G Bush and his Christianity last night,
quiet interesting, it seems for a start we havnt had a clear picture of bush here, as far as i am concerned.
also its amazing people will state what faith they are just to get votes, which i think Kerry has also done leading up to this current ellection.

anyway, i don't enough about any of this to comment really, so i will shut up

A Perfect Circle: Emotive

been meaning to mentioned this for ages!
Perfect circle cover Imagine
its great....
Perfect circle are so good...
i love pretty much everything they have done

so different,
heavy without being heavy...
they are great...

anyway...check it out

Collateral

saw collateral yesterday with Mee.

was pretty good, better than that actually.

i enjoyed it, had some nice ideas and plot.
its been a while since i've seen a good fairly violent film,
which for some reason i was in the mood for (lol)

the taxi driver (Jamie Foxx) was a great actor, and Tom Cruise was a good mean grey haired killer type ;-) (oops did i give something away)

anyway, go see it

Ju on: The Grudge

saw the orignal japanese version of this with rob and rhys on thursday.
we weren't impressed.

it had a lot of good ideas, but did them badly.
its odd to have a horror movie that is shot almost all in day light.

it did have some nasty images, which have stuck with me,
but apart from that the story made NO SENSE whatsoever.

i guess sam rami could do a good job with the remake,

could this be the first time the remake is better than the orginal???!!!

how odd!

The whole g12 thing

ok,

first off this link in particular:
http://www.banner.org.uk/apostasy/cell-church9.htm#g12#g12
i posted here for my own benefit, to remind me to read later. i haven't actually read it yet,
and apparently there is a lot of anti cell as well as anti g12 info there.

and so without having spent the time reading it through, it is prolly fair to say i dont agree with what is being said there.

however the reason i started looking for things is someone contacted me after a past g12 post and it got me thinking i wonder if anyone has a 'g12 broke the church apart' discussions or anything out there.

it is all too easy to find lots of sites pro g12, so wanted to find some that were not.
they raised some interesting points, however like all these things, you have to make your own decision.
I personally dont see g12 as a bad thing as such, however i do want to question it as i would anything.
I do see how this tore what was my church apart, and i do not like the way it was implemented.

however it still could have been the best thing for the church
it could have been the only thing that moved people on to what they should be doing.

the g12 could be the right thing for you,

but personally i decided not to stay at my church and do the g12 because:
1>i did not like how other people were being treated
2>i did not feel i had the g12 vision
3>i feel God has called me to do something with my music, i did not see how i could fit this in, and all the g12 would require me to do, and see friends and my girlfriend.

ok, thats that i hope
