New Jeff Buckley!!!

JEFF BUCKLEYs debut album GRACE is to be re-issued with extra songs.

Released on August 22, the album will be released as a three-disc package with two CDs and a DVD. Disc one features an original album newly remastered by George Marino, while CD2 will feature 13 non-album rarities and collectors items, either recorded in preparation for the ‘Grace’ sessions, or immediately after when Jeff and his band began touring to support the album’s release.

Included on this disk is the often bootlegged song Forget Her, which was set for inclusion on the original record, but taken off at the last minute to be replaced by So Real.

The DVD will feature four video clips, archival studio recording footage, interviews and live performances.

Football funny?!

man i keep thinking its saturday today and sunday tomorrow!

anyway...

football funny?!

from marc

some cuts

"Reporter: Gordon, Do you think James Beattie deserves to be in the England squad?
Strachan: I don't care, I'm Scottish.
Reporter: "Gordon, can we have a quick word please?"
Strachan: "Velocity" [walks off]

Reporter: Welcome to Southampton Football Club. Do you think you are the right man to turn things around?
Strachan: No. I was asked if I thought I was the right man for the job and I said, "No, I think they should have got George Graham because I'm useless."

Reporter: Is that your best start to a season?
Strachan: Well I've still got a job so it's far better than the Coventry one, that's for sure.

Reporter: Are you getting where you want to be with this team?
Strachan: We're not doing bad. What do you expect us to be like? We were eighth in the league last year, in the cup final and we got into Europe. I don't know where you expect me to get to. Do you expect us to win the Champions League?

Reporter: Gordon, you must be delighted with that result?
Strachan: You're spot on! You can read me like a book.

Reporter: Gordon, Agustin Delgado?
Strachan: I've got more important things to think about. I've got a yoghurt to finish by today, the expiry date is today. That can be my priority rather than Agustin Delgado. "

looking at css and mt and all sorts of things today
expect some changes here, there and there soon

PJ Harvey on Gonzo

just saw pj harvey on gonzo

some questions people posted:
http://www.mtv2europe.com/mtv2europe.com/messageboards/messages.jhtml?topicId=216200007

some amusing facts from the show

during the desert sessions pj harvey drank so much tea that the guys nick named her:
pgtips harvey

the new album title 'uh huh her' can be pronounced like elvis but could also be said like james brown

the desert sessions recording was fun, and reminded pj how fun it is just to play
also she said she never recorded in the way desert session works
i.e. from a 'jam'
she said she was nervous of this at first but it worked and people just chipped in bits here and there when someone else got stuck (sounds cool!)

fav cheese:
I can't remember it now! :-(
maybe Gloucester, but she said she can eat as much cheese as the size of her head
(that's a lot of cheese!)

-----
edit: forgot to mention pj said she would be appearing in a film again!
with a well known british director, no further news on this yet

I am still alive

but very tired!

feeling a lot better today, although still totally knackered!

seem to be still working on a certain site,
when will it end! heh heh...almost there ;-)
yawwwwn i think i might be drawing to a close the amount of work i can manage today...
oh well, got few bits done,
prolly shouldnt be working at all yet...

ug! lots to tell....later

for now read this about jewel my bro posted...and she was such a nice lady ;-)

Made me laugh

Wisdom removed

tomorrow I am heading into hospital to have my wisdom teeth removed, so it is likely you won't get any posts from me here or there or there for a while,
although depending how I feel perhaps I will make it to the pc,
I will certainly try to release a comic come Saturday,
but we shall have to see...
I have heard various stories from people on how bad and sick they felt after this op or after being on local antiseptic

so...will have to see...

Nine inch nails

are really far too good for there own good....

im just listing to one of the 'remix' albums

its so good!

More 'Art'

this one is called 'ideal'

I guess its kinda a commentary on myself...
I tend to get obsessed with my weight..
which is kinda stupid as I know im not fat..
but still it is a big deal to me, hence the exercise this morning..

this picture is I guess making fun of myself, to say would I really want to look like that?!, is _that_ ideal?

read into it what you like...its only a drawing ;-)

Careful

the internet is dangerous...

I swear its getting worse, you do a search for almost anything these days and you get
a>crap/fake results
b>(usually part of the above)sites that install stuff on your pc even if you think they haven't...

seriously if you don't have ad aware go get it...

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Monday

been odd day already, started well with only a slight sleep in,
followed by reading some 'school of leader notes' and 'the bible'
followed by a run around the block (wow!)
followed by a hair cut and shower
followed by a complete tidy up of my room (wow!)
but has been little down hill since...

I seem to keep having arguments with my mum
makes me just want to get out...

often they arnt about much, or nothing important
and half the time it seems pointless talking about it as she will prolly have some reason..
I donno, she seems overly touchy of late..
I guess makes sense..
I guess maybe that's why ive been a bit short with her too...

basically we scattered my dads ashes yesterday, so we might all be a little more touchy than normal...

but anyway, enough moaning for now...

so i took some pics...enjoy

New pic "Rain"

Ok time for a post

ok, it's catch up time,
I feel like I have been letting so many things go un blogged...
its posting time baby!

ok, so for starters my mood has improved
still not great all the time, but mostly ok
was good seeing mee the other day! that helps to no end

I feel slightly better about some of the church stuff, not fully
but partly, which helps my general mood....

its been odd lately, I guess not working sometimes reminds you why it is good to work,
without work the other 'stuff' I do to fill time/have fun seems rather pointless, lathery takes over big time, even today's list of stuff to do I can see going out the window, maybe, I guess I have already done some of it..
but anyway, normally you would work 90% of your day and try to fit everything else you want to do into the 10% left...however without that time limit im kinda lost :-|

anyway, I ramble

recent purchases I cant really afford but bought anyway

excel saga- crazy crazy anime that I saw on sci fi channel at 5.30 in the morning (!)
this had me laughing the hardest I have done in a long time.

kill bill- great movie, I finally got it, and have watched it with most of my friends and my mum (would you believe!)

haven- bought the 2nd album, it grows, still is getting a bit 'weaker' and 'poppier' and I think hollow can do better ;-)
no offence haven if you are listening ;-) (yeah right)

lady snowblood 1 and 2- haven't seen these yet but they were supposed to be influences for tarrenteno when writing kill bill,
so ill let you know what they are like

battle royale-saw this for a tenner and thought I should, borrowed this off rob not too long ago, good film if you like seeing Japanese school kids been blown and cut apart by each other. I know I do ;-)

auf de maur- ex bassist of hole and smashing pumpkins does her own stuff, and it rocks, if a little 'metal' in parts

p j Harvey
I haven't bought it yet, but single is out Monday and new album out at end of month, the single sounds good from what I've heard.
you can check it out at pjharvey.net, and I suggest you do ;-)
me and rob tried to get hold of tickets to see her twice now and both times she has sold out :-(
grr! must see her live again!!!

games
got a few games of rhys over the LAN, far too many to mention :-)
but have been playing mainly,

judge dredd- dredd vs death, great game! very cool, you can arrest punks and give em a sentence there and then
coz you ARE THE LAW!!! :-)
also if there is a gang and they arnt giving in,
i tend to find shooting one of their heads off, to make an example them ;-)
then others in the gang tend to give up...heh heh heh

Simpson's hit and run-
great Simpson fun, got onto the Lisa level now, 3rd I think
still not that far into the game, I am rushing through in some ways as I think I am missing a lot of hidden stuff
oh well will be one to come back to

selling
im having a bit of a clear out with my vids so if you are interested take a look...
http://www.project-folder.co.uk/villu/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=663

http://www.dilbert.com/comics/dilbert/archive/
if you find yourself laughing it could have been one I was going to post...

things have got a little slack around here, so many things I want to do
learning stuff, other sites, site redesign, the band, all sorts of stuff
and to be honest at the moment if anything is going to get dropped, it will be this site.
but hey, I guess I'll try to blog when I can, but just to warn ya ;-)

Odd day

in fact odd life,
a lot going on at church at the mo that makes me feel instable
its a horrible feeling, like nothing is solid...
im looking forward to seeing mee tomo, perhaps she will be able to cheer me up/set me straight.
I guess its good things are changing, but I guess change isn't always for the best...

been moving some things about site wise.
updated lyrics and moved songs over to www.hollow.co.uk

POP2 and POTC2!!!!

no nothing to do with TOTP'S!!!
-------------------------------------------
first off Ubisoft are releasing a sequel to Prince of Persia - Sands of Time, more here and a screenie below, if its anything like the last should be good fun (although they could make it a little harder, I never want to see another final boss battle like we saw in the first PoP....that was crap! This game's one should be huge and giant like all other final bosses in games these days.)

Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Treasures of the Lost Abyss (2006) (USA) (working title) - Plot Outline: The second high-seas adventure of Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann.
Credited cast:
Johnny Depp .... Captain Jack Sparrow
Orlando Bloom .... Will Turner

Path

new poem
http://www.blizz4rd.co.uk/words/path.htm
almost just posted it here, but thought may as well be on the words page
trying to sort out several things today, might well include a tidy of this site
with hollow being 'alive' again it means I could take some stuff off of here..
but anyway, all in good time, I may also get to grips with movable type another thing I've been promising myself of a while....

Moral test

from my bro
the test is here

My results:

Your Moralising Quotient is: 0.53.

Your Interference Factor is: 0.40.

Your Universalising Factor is: 1.00.

What do these results mean?

Your Moralising Quotient is an aggregate measure of your tendency to condemn the actions described in these scenarios as morally wrong. A score of 1.00 indicates a fully moralising position. A score of 0.00 is a fully permissive response. (See below for more on these.)

Your Interference Factor is an aggregate measure of your tendency to judge the actions described here as being the legitimate target of societal interference in the form of prevention or punishment. A score of 1.00 indicates that you think that every act described in these scenarios is subject to societal interference. A score of 0.00 indicates that you think that these acts are essentially a private matter, and that societal interference is inappropriate.

Your Universalising Factor is an aggregate measure of your tendency to judge moral wrongdoing in universal terms. A score of 1.00 means that every time you have determined one of the acts depicted in these scenarios to be morally wrong, you have universalised the judgement of moral wrongoing; that is, you have indicated that the act is wrong regardless of prevailing cultural norms and social conventions. A score of 0.00, on the other hand, means that where you see moral wrong in the acts depicted in these scenarios, you have not once universalised the judgement of moral wrongdoing; that is, you have indicated that whether an act is to be thought of as wrong is largely a matter of social norms, and that it is quite possible that what is wrong in one culture may not be wrong in another. A score of -1 means that you saw no moral wrong in any of the activities depicted in these scenarios, and so it is not possible for this activity to determine the extent to which you see moral wrongdoing in universal terms.

In line with Haidt, Koller and Dias (1993)* - though implemented in a much less rigorous way in this activity - it is possible to combine the interference and universalising factors to establish a more sophisticated picture of a person's moral intuitions (see diagram on main page). A fully moralised position endorses full interference, and universalises across the board. A fully permissive position rejects both interference and also any universalising tendency. An enforceable-conventional response sees interference as legitimate (presumably as a mechanism to enforce important social norms), but rejects any universalising tendency. A personal-morality response makes use of universal claims about right and wrong, but tends to see these as being a private matter and not as being a legitimate target of societal intervention. Where you fall in terms of these four factors is indicated by the blue square on the diagram on the main results page.
