saw this today

really is hard to know what to say

I cried a fair bit, I came out, well after the credits had started rolling, I couldn't really say much for a while.
eventually just said 'wow'

really still not too sure what to say about this, coz you can't really say it was 'good' in the normal way...

you may have these questions:
was it as real as you will ever experience? yes I think so
was it true to the text? yes mostly, with a few alterations but nothing too bad or out of order
did it portray the devil and miracles in a good way? yes, amazingly done, so subtle
is it a 'fun' movie to watch? no
should I see it? yes!

if your a Christian or even interested or familiar with the last 12 hours of Christ's life,
then I challenge you to watch this
it has given me a better idea of what suffering Christ went through for my sins,
the pain, the mocking, the abuse, the temptation, all of this for me...and for you...
it really brings it home.

I thought the actors did a great job, and there was real sensitivity with when to translate and when not to.

if your not a Christian or interested, then I say still go, you might learn something ;-)
you may get nothing from it, but I find it hard to see how someone can see this without being changed somehow
