Battle Royale
finished watching this yesterday
strangely dark good fun :-)
Japanese school children boycotting lessons and physically abusing their teachers.
the government and children's parents decide to pass a new act: Battle Royale.
A randomly chosen school class is taken to a deserted island and forced to fight each other to death.
The act dictates that only one pupil be allowed to survive the punishment.
sounds like my perfect film huh? ;-)
and yes this is live action not manga/anime.
it was good, funny even in parts, was strange how the deaths weren't lingered upon, but somehow lightened the blow.
if you have seen violent movies before I doubt this will come as a shock, but still good fun :-)
