just helped build a fence.

yesterday was the last day ofhis radiotherapy, i managed to get my nice boss to let me not be in work (i didn't have to take a holiday) to pick him up, which was really nice
he's in good spirit, the only side effects e's been having is from the steroids he's on and the only noticable one is massive weight gain, he's put on two stone (although it looks like more) oh and the radiotherapy has made his hair fall out (and the people that know him would know that it isn't very big a deal)
but by talking to him and spending time with him you wouldn't know he's got such a serious brain tumor... apparently the radiotherapy actually makes the brain swell and the doctors are plesently suprised that he didn't have any "tumor side effects" so thats very encouraging.
now, not for the first time we play the waiting game, we're waiting until in four weeks time he's gonna be haing another CT scan and that'll be able to tell us how the radiotherapy has gone... after that they have said that chemotherapy is an option (via tablet form) but my dad's attitude which i completely understand and support is that he doesn't feel like it's his time to go so if it'll extend his life then lets do it...
one of the interesting things is that when he had his "episode" and we took him to A&E we were told for the first time that this was classified as terminal, and that they gave him 6 months from diagnosis to live. they told us this in the beginning of april by which time he'd been diagnosed for 2 months therefore by the doctors expectations he wouldn't live to see his radiotherapy results
the fact that doctors radiotherapists and consultants are so positive is a good thing.... we might yet be able to beat this thing

well I have the photos :-)
but there are hundreds, but I will attempt to upload some of the funnier ones this weekend.
I am feeling pants at the moment, sporting a cold, and I do have a fair few things to do at the weekend
just had job interview for senior position, so far so good ;-)

ok well what to say, more updates on Estonia and the Wedding when I upload some photos.
after reading invisibleink.org and http://www.dieselfarm.com , and seeing how stuff looks in ccs etc I would like to rework my site.
however meesmess.co.uk might be a better target, as it is simple at the moment.
although I also was thinking I could test out flash and create something like this http://puccaclub.com/pucca_eng/
using mee as a cartoon character all over the place ;-)
nice idea, and I do hope to get around to, but perhaps a lot of work and learning and this weekend is already looking full,
besides feeling crap anyway.
oh, before and during my Estonia trip I really started to get itchy fingers with my music.
I watched stings 'all this time' dvd with full documentary, I saw Jeff Buckley program on TV and read a long radio head interview.
bottom line its really made me in the mood to 'do' something musically.
I don't know what, I don't know where and I don't know how, but I do know why.
it makes sense, I enjoy it.
so this is yet another thing to try to fit in to my busy life.
I guess I should arrange to do a gig, maybe Windsor arts centre or somewhere local to home.
but then, by myself? or with others? do I invite people?
it doesn't seem natural or easy, there is a lot of effort involved, and I don't want to step on anyone's toes or pressure anyone into anything.
but I have something inside burning me on to play and sing.
I have to do something...

LOADS to tell of my 5 days away in Estonia
I think it would be nice to say it with pictures, so if I get them off mike hopefully on Wednesday I should be able to put some up by the weekend.
but an overview at least I guess should start...
well, Estonia, and Travel
a nice break,
only 5 days but good to get away from work and everything,
it was good to see lots of old friends
it wasn't good to see the mosquitoes
it wasn't good for it to be so hot that I couldn't sleep till 3 am
however over all it was a great time
and the wedding went well :-)
travelling over took a lot longer than needed to be (about 8 hours in total)
but this was because we took a cheaper flight with a stop over.
is a shame as the flight should only take about 2 or 3 hours total usually.
but anyway,
I strangely enjoy the whole travelling experience,
perhaps not the time it takes,
but being in a airport with thousands of other people, all travelling to different destinations
also I notice the odd and different toilets they have in airports and indeed other countries
in the airports they have the wipe your hand in front of a sensor thing
and all over Estonia they have the half flush full flush thing,
I'm not quite sure why I find this interesting but I do :-)
I think I'll continue this later as of course I have plenty to do, perhaps I will do this step by step..
so this is kinda day one :-) (or half of day one anyway)

well hello
I feel I've been neglecting you all here.
I've been busy preparing for the wedding, playing games, and updating infinite moneyz and mees mess to name a few :-)
infinite monkeyz has had a complete work over, well actually I just added some things I'd been meaning to for some time!
still plenty of stuff I want to do for it, besides a comic every week! :-)
I really should have a good update of blizz4rd too, and will when I get the chance.
I'll be off to Estonia soon, leaving Wednesday 16th and back on Sunday 20th.
it should be fun, and although of course I'm going to miss my gf LOADS it will be good to get away from everything, and to see old friend again.
I only wish she could come with me, maybe next time huh? ;-)
anyway, so knowing that I only have a week and a half of work left is leaving me with a good feeling :-)
although nothing bad has happened yet so you know, its been an easy day so far. (which makes a change)
I've just applied for a job within the company here, it'd be interesting to see if I get it, but I doubt I will..
I'm not sure if I actually want it, but I think I'm half doing what is part of the role anyway, and it would be nice to have some power to change things, not just moan about them! :-)
well anyway we shall see....
so yeah, been a good weekend, got a lot done, updated the comic site as I've already said, started work on some new comics,
got a rough plan for the best man speech, need to run through it ;-/ scary it needs to be translated also, its hard enough as it is!
erm what else, oh updated cv to apply for this job, also did some updates to it been meaning to so that's good
oh and played warcraft3
just finished the human campaign
so I'm undead now :-) yummy!

oh saw a great futurama ep, and new Dexter has been good
oh did you know they have redone he man anime ish style! mad :-)
anyway, yeah that's enough rambling..
