well hopefully get this up and running as I want over the next couple of days, certainly by or on Wednesday.

just had a little 'shock' just now, not sure if I'll go into that or not.

but anyway.

spent the weekend playing dungeon siege around Daniel and Phil's

great fun, I haven't done a LAN for such a long time...

to be honest two days at one game was starting to get enough for me.

got to level 10 magic user type and wouldn't have gotten anything (new spells etc) for 5 levels, and besides by the tiredness etc was catching up with me.

also, why do things go wrong with pc's when trying to network them

it's mad really...

before I even got to the LAN I managed to remove twain from my pc so I cant use my scanner or new camera, which was inadvertently what caused the problem.

things worked ok while doing the LAN, apart from when I joined a game of battle field I jumped the games ping from 40 to 500...
we couldn't figure that one out...

but then when I got home

>my scanner didn't even work as a 'fax' (which we got working at the LAN)
>2 of my usb ports don't seem to be working (btw I bought a rather SWEEEET new case ;-)
>and worst of all my network at home (simple crossover cable) no longer worked!., the weirdest thing is all I had to do to get it working was unshare the connection then reshare it...funny that...

anyway..i think I've almost had a 'rant' here ;-)
